Aiyoka is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual artist from Kazakhstan, among the first generation born in the new republic since it gained its independence from the former Soviet Union.

Her work is influenced by growing up in a country that is rooted in the past while rapidly changing. Her primary themes are memory and tradition, both personal and cultural.

She has exhibited in Almaty, Prague, Ostrava, Lublin and Honolulu. She is currently based in Kailua, HI.
